The European Nightcrawler is a medium-small earthworm averaging about 1.5 grams each when fully grown. They are sold primarily as a bait worm, but its popularity as a composting worm is increasing.
They make GREAT bait worms...they stay alive longer and are more active.

African Night Crawlers are native the warm regions of West Africa.
African Night Crawler are a distinctive mix of a grey and purple color and grow to over twice the size of red worms, often reaching over 8 inches.

Red Wigglers
Eisenia fetida
Red Wiggler are known under various common names such as redworm, brandling worm, panfish worm, trout worm, tiger worm, red wiggler worm, red californian earth worm, etc., is a species of earthworm adapted to decaying organic material. These worms thrive in rotting vegetation, compost, and manure.
Red Wigglers are used for vermicomposting. When they are happy and healthy they can eat about half of their weight in food each day.
